Founder & CEO
Ruban Roberts is CEO and founder of RER Consulting Enterprise LLC, a Professional Development, Evaluation, Training and management services firm. RER consults with various government and private sector entities in program evaluation, program design, and process reengineering of existing program services.
Mr. Roberts has over 18 years’ experience as a consultant for the University of Miami Brief Strategic Family Therapy Institute (BSFT®). He has extensive knowledge on research design, managing evidence-based model programs and developing qualitative instruments. Mr. Roberts has also worked on the Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Florida Node – a national study funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) to research specific evidence-based model programs nationwide.
Mr. Roberts matriculated at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida ultimately earning his Master’s Degrees in Social Work and Business Administration.
Mr. Roberts is a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) facilitator. Additionally, In addition to his work as a paid consultant, Mr. Roberts also generously contributes his time and resources to numerous governmental and non-profit organizations. He is the Immediate Past President of the Miami Dade Branch of the NAACP and also served as the Branch’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice Chair. He is also an active Board member of the Miami Dade Economic Advisory Trust (MDEAT) appointed by the Miami Dade Board of County Commissioners, the Circuit Eleven Juvenile Justice Board Miami, Florida, and has also an appointed workgroup member for Eliminating Mental Health Disparities (EMHD) – an initiative sponsored by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Mr. Roberts also served on the Miami–Dade County Addiction Services Board, the Region IV Health Equity Council (RHEC) – appointed by the department of Health and Human Service (DHHS), as well as serving on the Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) Taskforce appointed by the State of Florida Secretary of Juvenile Justice (2012).
